Gourd

This project is the outcome of research carried out during a contemporary ceramics residency in Martres-Tolosane, a region shaped by a rich history of faience and craftsmanship. Starting from an old gourd found in a local second-hand shop, this series of cast gourds extends the research on pattern by applying it to an everyday object. It questions the memory of forms and the links between use, reuse and territory.
