Grogged clay, fired in a traditional kiln
Grogged clay, fired in a traditional kiln
This project is the second version of Mousharaby.OS, developed during an artist residency in Brazil and inspired by the cobogó, the iconic breeze block of Brazilian architecture.
The ceramic blocks are handcrafted in collaboration with master craftsman Mestre Nado, who specialises in making ceramic musical instruments. The project transposes his know-how, rooted in rhythm, vibration and gesture, into an architectural logic in which each block becomes a module able to filter light and air.
